About Us
A practice built on patience, warmth and honest conversation
Bondara was founded to give families in Chiang Mai a quiet, unhurried place to talk things through — without pressure, judgement or prescribed outcomes.
Back to HomeOur Story
How Bondara came to be
Bondara began in Chiang Mai in 2019, when a small group of facilitators noticed that families navigating periods of change — whether a move, a shift in household roles, or simply the accumulation of unspoken tension — often had nowhere low-key to go. They were not in crisis, but they were not quite comfortable either.
The founders wanted to offer something different from formal professional settings: a warm room, a patient listener, and a simple structure for conversation that families could shape themselves. Nothing prescriptive. Nothing that tells a family what to do or feel.
Since then, Bondara has worked with parents, adult siblings, couples and multi-generational households across Chiang Mai and the wider northern Thailand region. Our focus has not shifted: we create the conditions for conversation, and we leave the direction to the families themselves.
Our Mission
What we are here to do
Bondara's mission is straightforward: to give families a gentle, non-advisory space where communication can happen more easily. We are not here to fix anything or to provide answers. We are here to make the conversation a little more comfortable and a little more fair.
We do not take sides or offer personal recommendations.
We keep all sessions confidential and respect each person's privacy.
We welcome all family types and backgrounds without judgement.
We are not a substitute for professional support — we are a complement to it.

How We Work
Our Standards & Commitments
Confidentiality
Everything discussed in sessions remains private. We do not share family information with any third party without explicit consent.
Impartiality
Our facilitators do not take sides, offer opinions or steer conversations toward any particular conclusion. The process belongs to your family.
Data Protection
We handle all personal data in line with Thai data protection standards. Your records are stored securely and kept only as long as necessary.
Ongoing Development
Our facilitators participate in regular professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of communication facilitation methods.
Non-Advisory Boundaries
We are clear and consistent about what we do not do. No session at Bondara constitutes professional advice of any kind — we are a communication and education service.
Feedback Welcome
We invite families to share their experience with us. Your feedback shapes how we develop our programmes and improve the quality of our sessions.
Our Values
What Bondara stands for
Families do not need to be in difficulty to benefit from a quiet, structured conversation. Sometimes it is simply useful to have a neutral setting where everyone can speak without interruption and listen without defensiveness. That is the everyday kind of support Bondara has always aimed to offer.
We choose our words carefully. We avoid making claims about what sessions will produce, because that is not ours to determine. What we can offer is consistency, patience and a room that feels safe — and we take those responsibilities seriously.
Chiang Mai has a long tradition of community-centred ways of working through difficulty. Our practice draws on that spirit — the understanding that people find their own way when given space and a measure of calm. We do not rush this process.
Our educational seminars and dialogue sessions are also suitable for expat families and internationally mixed households, who may find the English-language format particularly accessible. We aim to be a welcoming presence for all who find their way to us.
